Curtin University Introduces Open Process Automation

Back to news & events

Curtin is excited to announce that it will be the first University in Australia to offer Open Process Automation (OPA) training and education to the mining industry.

Traditional process control technology does not meet the advancements in IT over the past 20 years, causing significant issues for the current generation of process control professionals who are trying to use these technologies. Enterprise Transformation Partners (ETP) explained “As OPA is the technological breakthrough that enables technical convergence of IT and OT, it enables advanced IT innovations to be utilised in the process control stack providing an exciting platform for innovation for the next generation of OT professionals”.
