EOIs for NETA now open

Deep tech innovators looking to create impact for the global energy transition are encouraged to submit an EOI for the 2025 National Energy Transition Accelerator (NETA).

NETA is a free program for Australian-based researchers and early-stage startup founders focused on creating sustainable business models that can support the rapid deployment of research-backed technical innovations such as renewable energy technologies, efficiency improvements, and clean infrastructure. Previous participants have gone on to launch their own startup company, secure millions in follow on funding, and validate their innovation for market entry.

Delivered by Curtin University in partnership with The University of Queensland and James Cook University, NETA is one of the core deliverables of the Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer (RTCM Trailblazer) program as part of its commitment to building new research capabilities and driving commercialisation outcomes for the resources technology and critical minerals sectors.

The program will be supported by esteemed Investor in Residence Matt Macfarlane and led by Curtin University’s Entrepreneur Programs Manager Ben Sandhu. NETA will nurture selected teams from inception to initial revenue and early customer engagement, culminating in a demonstration of their achievements to key industry leaders at program’s annual Demo Night in Perth, Western Australia on Wednesday 15 October 2025.
