Expressions of Interest for New Projects
The Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer (RTCM) program has brought together more than 50 industry and research partners together to build capability and value across Australia’s resources sector.
We are now seeking new collaborative project opportunities from industry to develop and de-risk implementation of technologies and boost productivity. All project proposals will include collaboration and exchange with researchers at Curtin University.
New industry partners are encouraged, and existing partners can also apply; collaborative projects involving one or more industry partners are highly encouraged. The Trailblazer team can support linkages with other partners if desired.

The RTCM Trailblazer will support co-investment into new projects to access to state-of-the-art university facilities and researchers to work directly with your company for project delivery.
Funding amounts will be stage gated based on success against technical and commercial milestones and require industry partners to meet more than 50% of the costs over the life of the project. Grant funding can be front ended to decrease technical risk if there is strong industry commitment to invest in implementation if projects meet milestones. Projects should have potential for commercialisation and opportunities for researchers to gain experience in innovation implementation in industry.
In-kind can be considered as a portion of the industry contribution, which may include items such as personnel time, equipment, maintenance, and site-related costs, and travel related to the research collaboration. Preference will be given to proposals that may lead to longer term research relationships.
