Resource Capital Funds (RCF) Managing Director, Brett Beatty.

The Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer welcomes the appointment of Resource Capital Funds (RCF) Managing Director, Brett Beatty.

Brett brings to the board extensive global industry knowledge and networks, having worked in mining roles across Australia, Brazil, and the USA.

Brett joined RCF, an international mining-focused private equity firm, in 2009 having worked as a Mining Engineer for numerous companies including Mincor Resources and Barminco. Brett’s field of experience include production, planning, mine design, geotechnical and mine site management in various underground operations across Australia.

He is a board director of Piney Woods Resources, Provale Holdings SA and TinBr Participacoes SA and currently serves as the Chair of the RCF Partners Committee that is responsible for the overall governance of RCF’s global investment operations.

Brett’s appointment will specifically support the Trailblazer partner engagement strategy. Already he has influenced thinking on industry drivers for R&D and how the Trailblazer might encourage future focussed investment despite the current point of the commodities price cycle.

He joins Trailblazer Board Chair Dr Vanessa Guthrie AO, and Board Members Professor Harlene Hayne, Vice Chancellor of Curtin University; Professor Linda Kristjanson, former Vice-Chancellor of Swinburne University of Technology; Larry Lopez, Partner at Australian Venture Consultants; and Denise Goldsworthy AO, Owner and Managing Principal of Alternate Futures.
