National Energy Transition Accelerator Launches

Today, we launched the National Energy Transition Accelerator, a dedicated program designed to to support early-stage businesses developing solutions that will enable the resources technology and critical minerals sectors to facilitate the energy transition.

Startups participating in this free 8-week program will be supported to overcome technical and market barriers to allow for rapid deployment of renewable energy technologies, efficiency improvements, and clean infrastructure.

Other benefits of the program include:

A $10,000 equity free grant
Introductions to potential customers and partners including resource corporate venture arms
Access to local, national and global energy leaders
Immersion in a vibrant ecosystem of mentors, experts and investors
Subsidised travel costs to attend sessions in person

The program is being delivered by Curtin University as part of the Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer’s supported by the Australian Government Department of Education in partnership with The University of Queensland and James Cook University.

Combining the resources of the three partnering universities, the program base will alternate between Western Australia and Queensland and will be facilitated by founder, investor and former venture capitalist Matthew Macfarlane.

Researchers, startup founders, and industry professionals from across Australia are eligible to apply. EOIs are now open and close on Friday 3 May 2024. For more information on this exciting opportunity, visit the official program webpage.
